Position Description
Grade Level of Role, 98 (Director) or 97 (Senior Manager), will be determined based off of the candidates qualifications and experience. Location will be Fort Worth, Texas
Provide financial and business leadership and act as the chief business liason and financial person for the region and provide oversight to the Regional Field Office finance, accounting, contracting, and office administration.
Position Responsibilities
Primary Objectives: Provide financial and business leadership and act as the chief financial person for the region and provide oversight to the Regional Field Office finance, accounting, contracting, and office administration. Responsibilities include: Independently accountable for a key aspect of Medtronic’s relationship with key accounts in region to include: Business economics in conjunction with CRM Health Economics organization. In partnership with Sales Management develop sustainable relationships with key non-physician customers to drive competitive advantage for Medtronic. Lead and coordinate the development of regional and district level strategic plans. Act as critical business partner for RVP’s and District Managers. In conjunction with CRDM pricing and contracting function provide leadership and oversight for contract strategy development, pricing, analysis and administration. Work with National Accounts in the coordination and execution of national agreements with GPO’s. Financial planning, forecasting and financial analysis including the annual AOP process. Develop and implement robust fiduciary control (including BCP’s asset management, interfacing with the legal department on legal issues.)
Responsibilities: Provide financial leadership/direction to the regional management staff and develop/implement revenue growth plans in partnership with sales leadership. Participate in driving the creation of the regional revenue plan and forecasts. Collaborate with local sales management in developing and maintaining key hospital administration contacts/relationships in the regions. Visit these key accounts on a quarterly basis or as requested by RVP/DM’s. Manage and participate in preparing contracts for the region as well as having the top regional role in the setting/approving effective regional pricing proposals. Personally participate in contracting process for the largest regional accounts, alliance and cross-business deals as needed. Works with the corporate contract sales director on mega account bids/proposals. Approves pricing in the region within the national pricing strategy framework. Proposes any pricing exceptions to the pricing council. Provides feedback to national pricing strategy development/implementation.
Basic Qualifications
*Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance. *10 years of Financial and/or Contracting experience. *Experience with healthcare economics. *Ability to travel to (20%-40%).
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
*MBA *5 years health care experience. *Additional experience in sales, marketing, healthcare or related areas desirable. *Experience with contracting/negotiation and customer interaction preferred. *Excellent written/oral communication & presentation skills. *Ability to function well in high-energy business environments
