The Analytics Program Manager will play a critical role in leading the development of a center of excellence analytics platform and strategy for the Medtronic Foundation in order to support the strategic decision-making process to ensure we meet our goals to improve health outcomes by >50%, double employee volunteerism, and enhance the presence of the Medtronic Foundation and our partners.  You will manage a complex set of analytic processes and results and will have the opportunity to provide creative analytics to distill opportunities for greater effectiveness, share progress on results, and highlight continuous learning opportunities for the Foundation and its partners.  While the data being managed is not financial, you will work closely with Finance as well as across the Global Health, Civic Engagement, Operations, and Communications teams to manage and strengthen data rigor, reporting, and reliability to ensure outcomes orientation.  Your work will help transform and demonstrate the impact on the lives of patients and communities, bringing the Medtronic Mission to the underserved.

A Day in the Life
The position will shape and manage MDT Foundation’s analytics strategy that includes identifying an analytics platform and integration of various data sets.  Additional responsibilities include:

Data Analytics and Interpretation
• Develop, inspect, mine, transform, and model data to raise productivity, and improve decision making
• Conduct statistical analysis on data and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting or classification
• Manage all aspects of end – to – end data processing, utilizing customized reports as needed
• Maintains analytical systems, verifies the accuracy of the data, and acts as a liaison across the MDT Foundation teams to inform internal and external performance 
• Delvers a routine pan-Foundation scorecard and individual strategy-level dashboards that objectively reflect progress against targets

Problem-Solving and Consulting
• Deliver robust data to inform MDT Foundation’s strategic planning and annual operating plan process 
• Provide consultation to programs, policies, and practices on key data requirements tied to outcomes; and the approach to obtain, record, and process partner and employee level results
• Apply innovative thinking to solve complex problems and complete assignments that are often ambiguous
• Utilize collaborative style to build internal team relationships and external vendor relations to enable improved understanding of Medtronic Foundation results

Project and Data Vendor Management
• Manage day to day activities across multiple workstream teams through managing project plans, resources, status reports to resolve issues, and identify project risks and accountability for deliverables across multiple functional areas
• Manage data platform vendors and deliverables relative to the Medtronic Foundation analytics

Market Research
• Gathers and analyzes industry benchmarks, strategies and best practices.  Keeps informed about developments in the government, economic, and political fields as they apply to future plans

Must Haves
• Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience OR advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Data Systems, Data Analytics, Social Development, Social Responsibility, Public Health, Public Policy, or Business Administration


Nice to Have
• Proficiency with statistical tools and SQL 
• Proficiency with using visual analytics tools such as Tableau
• Particular expertise and comfort with large and imperfect data, balancing qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Clear record of success with complex strategies, data streams, and managing across quantitative and qualitative approaches 
• Experience with problem solving and decision making that leads to best practice decisions with inputs from others and inclusive management style
• Budget expenditure and milestone deliverable management skills
• Familiarity with human centered design/design thinking
