Participate in the implementation, configuration and general administration of relational database management systems part of Medtronic’s standard (currently Oracle).  Development of some PL/SQL code and UNIX shell scripts under immediate supervision.

  • Solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
  • Create schemas, using DDL, from physical data models.
  • Analyze data access, integration, and storage requirements for databases.
  • Provide technical guidance to database application development teams.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and tuning of database environment.
  • Consult on database program design and review PL/SQL created by application developers.
  • Provide technical guidance to database application development teams and assist with problem resolution.
  • Ensure that Medtronic's systems and the information on them are protected in accordance with Medtronic's Information Protection Policies and Standards, as well as best Information Protection practices.





 B.E/ B.Tech/MCA




1-3 years of IT experience as Oracle DBA with B.Tech\B.E\MCA.




  • Experience with various Oracle products including RDBMS, SQL*Plus and PL/SQL, Toad, SQL Developer and Oracle Enterprise Manager.

  • Ability to understand customer requirements

  • Time management skills

  • Ability to follow standard procedures and practices relating to databases and database management

  • Analytical problem solving skills

  • Participate in 24x7 production support.







The role will be working on 2 shifts (6:00 am to 3:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm). This role may require to work in night shift (10:00 pm to 6:00 am) as per business need.


◾Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) or Master of Computer Application (MCA) from a reputed institute/university.
