POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

Analyze and contribute to technical application packaging projects, requests and process. Support the application packaging systems, their planning, configuration, testing, and implementation. Understand application packaging architecture and design tenets and ensure compliance in all relevant areas.


 


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Interaction with customer to identify and document application configuration requirements.

·         Application Packaging / Sequencing using Admin-Studio

·         Complete and facilitate functional testing and troubleshooting

·         Provide technical solutions for queries related to Application and incident handling.

·         Proactive approach for implementing process improvement.

·         Interaction with application deployment team to distribute approved packaged application to specified user groups.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·         Ensure that Medtronic's systems and the information on them are protected in accordance with Medtronic's Information Protection Policies and Standards, as well as best Information Protection practices.

 


 



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

·         Graduation in Engineering (BE/BTech) or Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) from a reputed institute/university.

 

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

 

·         Minimum 1 years of IT experience in Application packaging

 

SPECIALIZED SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE: 

 

·         1+ years of experience in various deployment tools & Application packaging

·         1+ years of experience building & supporting images & patch management

·         1+ years of experience supporting mail hygiene applications (Exchange Online Protection, Proofpoint)

·         Experience utilizing scripting in system administration and reports (i.e. PowerShell)

 

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·         Analytical and critical thinking skills

·         Collaboration and influencing skills

·         Application Discovery, requirement gathering & analysis, understanding application configuration in OS and Client & Vendor interaction

·         Application packaging / repackaging using AdminStudio or Wise Packaging Studio

·         Create custom scripts using VBScript / PowerShell / Batch script for MSI and App-V 5.x

·         Understanding of package deployment using SCCM, XenApp and AppV Management console in testing environment

·         Good understanding of App-V and Citrix integration

·         Good experience in MSI and App-V Application troubleshooting

·         Well versed in application testing and remediation techniques for producing Windows 7/10 compatible applications

·         Knowledge on Group Policy & Active Directory

·         XenApp/XenDesktop knowledge is an added advantage

·         Understanding on internal behavior & structure of MSI database
