The Diabetes Group (DIB) is working with the global community to change the way people manage diabetes. Together, we will transform diabetes care by expanding access, integrating care, and improving outcomes so people with diabetes can enjoy greater freedom and better health.

We are seeking a qualified accountant to join our team.  This role will report into the Diabetes Controller and will be responsible for financial/accounting activities to support numerous processes to include: Cash transactions, Inter-company, Account Reconciliation and vendor related matters.   In addition, the role will provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis and other accounting support matters.  


A Day in the Life


Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Reconciliation of various Balance Sheet accounts to ensure proper balances are reported
  • Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares internal financial reports.
  • Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements and expenses
  •  Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy.
  • Prepares consolidates financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports.
  • Designs, modifies, installs, and/or maintains accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions.
  • Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls.
  • Responsible for month end close processes, including proper accrual reporting
  • Maintains Vendor master activity to support Accounts Payable activity
  • Assists with various Intercompany activities to include invoice processing, netting and clearing
  • Serve as back-up for other team members for Fixed Asset, Accounts Receivable and other transaction
  • Supports ad-hoc requests within the Controller’s department
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 0 years of experience required

Nice to Have
  • Financial accounting background
  • Excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principals.
  • Computer Literate – Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word
  • Communicates primarily with internal contacts within immediate group. Contacts others to gather, confirm, convey information .
