A Day in the Life

The Patient Registration Associate is responsible for providing customer service and administrative services to patients for Medtronic's business units.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides appropriate support within a designated team/function.
  • Performs a variety of clerical work having some diversity.
  • Work is performed under direct supervision and within prescribed procedures.
  • Data entry of patient registration information i.e.: keying names, addresses, alpha-numeric serial numbers, doctors and hospitals into system.
  • Respond to and follow up on customer and patient calls in a timely manner i.e.: requests for cards update information, verify information, etc.
  • Respond to and maintain Device Registration & Sales email accounts.
  • Work with Customer Service representatives to update Patient Registration as new information is received.
  • Prepare necessary reports in preparation to send identification card request to third party company for processing.
  • Ensure on-going maintenance of hard copy repository of Patient Registration forms.
  • Provide back-up assistance to the Administrative Assistant- Finance/Operations/Service.
  • Provide support and back up coverage to reception (breaks, lunch and vacation coverage), receives and transfers phone calls and takes messages when necessary
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and a High School Diploma is required.
  • Accurate keyboarding (minimum 35 words per minute).
  • Bilingual – English/French is required.
  • Demonstrated professional telephone techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Very good Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Computer literate in a Windows environment.
Nice to Have
  • Enrollment in a business related diploma program is an asset.
