The Business Continuity and Crisis Management Team at Medtronic supports the business to ensure we are able to deliver our products where and when they are needed. We prepare the company for disasters and lead cross-functional teams to respond and recover when the unexpected happens.

A Day in the Life


The Business Continuity & Crisis Manager will be responsible for engaging with assigned Business Groups and Corporate Functions to define critical Products, Services, and Processes, identify and evaluate threats that could disrupt those critical areas, and effectively plan for continuity during a disruption. In addition, they will support a cross-functional crisis management team to respond and recover from disruptive events as quickly as possible. This requires a natural curiosity, strong relationship building, and an ability to communicate while under pressure. Responsibilities will include the following and other duties as assigned:

  • Project Management
  • Business Impact Analysis
  • Risk Assessment
  • Exercising Teams and Testing Plans
  • Crisis Management Planning and Response
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Periodic Travel – 10%

 


Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Requires a University Degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Masters in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or equivalent
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
