Business Development Specialist

Main Purpose:  

Lead and drive market development opportunities in Thailand of Laparoscopic and Stapler portfolio and provide technical and clinical support to sales team or distributors for assigned product lines and be the marketing person who create and execute the country marketing plan, new product launch and key initiatives

Key Accountabilities:

  • Achieve EMID business goals including revenue, market share and therapy growth
  • Be technical, clinical and product expert and provide support to sales team and distributors
  • Work with all stakeholders to develop and execute marketing plan and product launch plans and coordinate and drive all market initiatives in the country
  • Create and execute impactful marketing/ PACE programs to achieve BU financial targets
  • Collaborate with Regional marketing and PACE to execute the marketing or PACE events both in country and aboard
  • Organize and conduct product training or new marketing strategy or new marketing message to sales team, distributors, and healthcare professional as required to ensure all parties are educated to an appropriate level
  • Prepare sales/marketing materials, clinical papers to ensure field staffs have appropriate tools to use in the field
  • Collect and analyze market information and derive a plan to respond to market situation and competitor’s activities
  • Provide specific inputs on: Market size; Competitive product offerings, activity, tactics, pricing and market shares
  • Build key opinion leader throughout the country
  • Liaise with Regulatory Affair for product registration

Experience and Knowledge:

  • 3-5 years experience in Medical device sales or product management
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, monitor, and conclude a project
  • Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software

Working Environment/ Conditions:

  • Expect to travel 30-50% of the time.
  • Some out of hours work will be required.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical science or related field
