POSITION DESCRIPTION:


Support short and long term operational/strategic business activities; develop, enhance and maintain operational analytic solutions and models that will have an impact on business decisions.  Work with business stakeholders/subject matter experts to guarantee a clear understanding and documentation of the business problem that tie to strategic objectives.   Analyze business requirements, operational processes, and data relationships to sustain or streamline operations, drive efficiency and standardization, and align processes across teams.  Design, develop, and validate/verify new reports and tools.  Communicate with numerous functional areas to define robust business requirements related to reporting and analytics.  Produce high quality data that may be used internally or provided to business partners.   Position includes at least 50% hands-on report development work. 




POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Accountability of compliance to quality processes for the Reporting and Analytics team.  Review the work of others, signoff off on quality documents, and assist team in overall quality validation tasks.  Report status of quality initiatives to management.  Should have a passion for quality and clear understanding of how quality directly impacts improving efficiencies.

  • Manages customer expectations (i.e. balance needs vs. wants) Work with key project stakeholders and business partners to formulate and communicate the business vision for analytic solutions

  • Develops robust SDLC documents for projects—ensures customer needs are clearly defined and agreed to (scope, requirements, specifications, mockups, testing, traceability, support, etc.)

  • Designs, develops, and tests reports and small systems using approved technologies to satisfy business requirements

  • Validate solutions, designs, and test plans to ensure traceability to business requirements

  • Effectively document and communicate decisions, understand customer needs and proactively elicit, capture, and communicate business requirements to meet those needs

  • Design reporting solutions for a variety of users, include dashboards, ad hoc, and formatted reports.

  • Able to step in to support troubleshooting as needed and be hands -on

  • Ability to coordinate with all business teams in standardizing and optimizing the way data/information is stored and retrieved

  • Preparing project plans and schedules and communicating them to team members

  • Develop rich, easy to use, interactive, visually appealing graphics and data visualizations of large amounts of data

  • Serve as data analytics consultant to analyze the business requirements and determine the data requirements for operational reporting, dashboards, and metrics

  • Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards for both external and internal users

  • Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members

  • Must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Have a “can do” attitude to solve complex technical challenges

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree required in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or related fiel
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Process Improvement
  • English Fluent
