The Patient Services and Monitoring group develops innovative solutions to patient monitoring that deliver value to our customers and diagnostic patients. The Cardiac Technician works within the Monitoring Center and is responsible for the interpretation and quality assurance of transmitted ECG/EGM device episode data, creation of clinical reports/data, and communication with customers and patients regarding this data.



The Cardiac and Vascular Group brings our cardiac and vascular businesses together into one cross-functional, collaborative operating unit to employ the full breadth of our talent, technologies, products, services, and solutions to address the needs of customers and patients across the globe.


CARDIAC RHYTHM AND HEART FAILURE offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions.


A Day in the Life


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Accurately interpret and annotate device episode data (i.e. heart rhythms, etc.)
  • Generate, review, and deliver clinical reports to customers
  • Identify rhythms that meet notification criteria and follow notification procedures
  • Adhere to Quality and Standard Operating Procedures for the Monitoring Center
  • Communicate with patients, physicians, and healthcare professionals via telephone, e-mail, etc.
  • Work with and navigate various computer applications to review device episode data, create and send clinical reports, communicate with co-workers and customers, etc.
  • Seasoned individual contributor who provides assistance and training to lower level employees. 
  • Performs a wide variety of non-routine clerical and administrative tasks and may support special projects or assignments.
  • Works to deliver day-to-day objectives with significant impact on achievement of results for the job area. Work involves obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.
  • Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area
  • Other duties as assigned by the Monitoring Center Manager

*Candidates must be located at Minnesota.


Must Have: Minimum Requirements


High School Degree

4 years of relevant experience

Active CCT (Certified Cardiographic Technician) or CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) Certification


Nice to Have


4+ years of cardiac monitoring in an acute setting, physician practice or other relevant environment

Significant level of Physician, Allied Healthcare Professional and Patient interaction

Experience successfully communicating/interfacing with patients and/or customers

College Degree in healthcare or science related field
