You will join Medtronic’s Surgical Robotic Program, responsible for developing Medtronic’s Robotic Assisted Surgery platform through commercial launch and production scale-up.

This position in the Medical Affairs group. Specifically supporting Professional Affairs and Clinical Education (PACE).  PACE’s mission is to provide a diverse and relevant open exchange platform resulting in the standardization and implementation of innovative best practices that optimize healthcare and business outcomes.


In this exciting role as a Medical Affairs Operations Specialist, you will have primary focus responsibility to manage clinical education processes, manage diverse projects and collect and analyze related data and metrics.



A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains a deep understanding of the science behind our products.

  • Develops competitive intelligence in our product space.

  • Drives education and outreach for safe and effective use of our products.

  • Develops, implements and oversees integrated evidence-based medical affairs strategic plans for relevant Medtronic organizations.

  • Utilizes advanced subject matter expertise to provide medical input to various functions (General Management, Global Strategy & Portfolio Management, Business Development & Licensing, Research & Development, & Marketing) and organizational units to facilitate insightful decision-making and enable achievement of business objectives.

  • Ensures effective objective value propositions are developed and articulated for Medtronic technologies to stakeholders (patients, health care providers, payers, government agencies, health technology assessment organizations, public) through appropriate channels.

    Other Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple clinical education processes

  • Lead and facilitate pace projects

  • Manage internal systems for department that may include Workfront and Cvent

  • Coordinate data analytics and reporting

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 0 years’ experience 

Nice to Have

  • Medical Affairs/Clinical Research/Quality/Regulatory Affairs/Engineering/Marketing experience at Medtronic or within a medical device industry.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint and Word, Project (or similar scheduling software), project management techniques and tools; and web-based applications.

  • Expertise in both theoretical and practical aspects of project management

  • Excellent project management and organization skills.

  • Ability to identify and implement solutions in addressing clinical education process issues. 


Standard office setting, clean room, model shop, supplier visits plus approximately 25% domestic and international travel as required.
