At Medtronic’s Bakken Research Center in Maastricht, about 220 clinical researchers, scientists and technical engineers cooperate closely with medical specialists in and outside of Europe to develop new and improve existing therapies in Coronary & Structural Heart (CSH) indications.

Our broad range of clinical services includes international project management, statistical advise, IT support and medical writing, which makes us Medtronic’s authority on clinical research outside of the US.

A Day in the Life

You will manage clinical study personnel focused on supportive tasks across clinical studies consistent with applicable regulations, guidelines, and policies. 

You will be responsible for working with clinical study managers to efficiently forecast and assign study personnel across the portfolio of clinical research studies.

You will be responsible for the training and development of a team clinical research professionals as they grow their careers at Medtronic.

Must Haves

·         Masters or PhD degree

·         People management experience focused on resource allocation and forecasting

·         Experience directly supporting clinical studies or similar

·         Strong networking and communication skills

·         Significant detail orientation

·         Able and willing to strictly follow procedures/SOP's, regulations and guidelines


We are looking for a people focused team player who understands clinical trial execution and has direct experience with resource forecasting across studies or projects in order to identify support and specify tasks for a team of clinical study personnel.  With an understanding of resourcing and forecasts across the studies, this role will develop and recommend changes to drive operational consistency across studies.


Provides excellent day to day work direction to your clinical research employees, effectively managing high and low times in order to evenly distribute the workload across your team.


Communicates well and fluent in English, both in writing and speaking.

Some (inter)national travel (<10%) is part of the job.
