A Day in the Life


The Marketing Operations team supports Medtronic Canada’s strategic objectives by developing and implementing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns and programs, across all business units, to create demand for and drive awareness of Medtronic’s products and services; and by supporting Medtronic Canada’s overall employee engagement and social responsibility strategy. The Conventions and Sales Enablement Coordinator supports Canada’s conventions and events program, as well as targeted sales enablement activities, as well as the planning and execution of external/internal events.


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


Working closely with the internal Sales & Marketing teams and various external stakeholders, this position supports Medtronic Canada’s conventions program, as well as targeted sales enablement activities, including: 

 

  • Coordination of sales collateral inventory and fulfillment, including maintaining the C2 platform and/or our relationship with third-party fulfillment partner.  Also includes coordinating special projects (i.e. sample programs, training material requirements, etc.).
  • Creation and proper distribution of tools for the sales team.
  • Planning and support of external and internal events, including conferences and employee meetings.
  • Ensuring proper communication throughout the conference planning process with external/internal customers, and proper follow up and lead qualification.
  • Coordination and distribution of marketing-related customer communications.
  • Administration and content editing in the AEM platform (internet).
  • Providing project or program support to a functional group or business process.
  • Monitoring program/project/system status, budgets and timetables.
  • Applying knowledge of and experience in company operations to assist in the development, implementation and administration of program/system guidelines and procedures.
  • Gathers and compiles information for reports.
  • Provides technical support, which may include program/system training, program/system documentation, data extraction, data review, tracking and coding.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • College Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational skills; capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Interpersonal skills: exceptional verbal/written communication (English & French), listening.
  • Highly self-motivated contributor who works well as an individual and within a team environment.
  • Experience working as an internal agency, with clients and/or on cross-functional teams with the ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Maintains effective relationships with internal and external customers globally.
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be willing to travel 10-25%.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in medical sales or clinical exposure is a plus
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience editing in the AEM platform.
  • Experience with Project Mgmt Software (i.e. WorkFront).
