Global Patient Management Core Team Leader

This new position will be responsible for global leadership and management in delivering a consistent and predictable patient experience, while minimizing disruption in patient connectivity unless otherwise defined as part of the overall strategy. This will be a guiding principle as you lead the upgrade of our remote monitoring portfolio with new solutions that are aligned with industry changes.   The Core Team Leader (Sr. Program Manager) will be accountable to execute against key milestones and commitments including definition and management of the core team and all program activities.

Day in the life:
  • Responsible for leading global strategy definition for the program including continuous improvement and cost down, gaining leadership alignment, procuring and management of funding 
  • Accountable for the solution’s scope, cost, schedule, and total cost of ownership including project plans, contracts, budgets, objectives, staffing, risks, and resources; accountable for ensuring team delivers all required deliverables. Ensure compliance to Medtronic’s policies, and driving required system improvements.
  • Oversee project decisions and trade-offs in risk; arbitrate escalated issues. Collaborate cross functionally with supply chain, marketing, sales, IT, global partners and patient services. Direct the development of strategic integration plans across multiple disciplines/geographies and the execution of those plans.
  • Accountable for all solution communication with key sponsors, stakeholders and project team, including BUs, regional leaders, geography partners, team members, and functional leadership.
  • Lead the cross-functional Core Team and Global Extended Team from recruitment and creation to dissolution including management of team changes. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the cross-functional team. Provide people management skills to lead, coach and support CTMs as required to ensure solution success.
  • Develops processes, tools, systems, workflows and materials that can be leveraged across the regions that drive the patient upgrade to best solution at the lowest cost
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress, establishes meaningful forecasts and metrics to status the program (unit volume, mix, budget, support service levels, product availability and delivery performance)  
  • Oversees telecommunications market research activities for technology platform changes that could impact the overall strategy

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 7 years of experience with 5+ years program management experience or advanced degree with 5 years of experience and 2 years program management experience
Required Knowledge/ Skills
  • Strong cross-organizational collaboration skills; ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Strong communication skills; ability in effectively communicating to senior leadership
  • Ability to create and manage key internal and external partnerships
  • Demonstrated effective change leadership and change management skills
  • Professional attitude and service orientation; superb team player
Nice to Have
  • MBA, advanced degree and/or consulting experience
  • PMP Certification
  • Telecommunications Industry Experience
  • Strong technical expertise in healthcare technologies and business acumen within strategic planning
  • The ability to leverage relations with key constituents to deliver tangible results
  • Demonstrated collaboration and team building skills across a global organization
  • Strong interpersonal / collaborative skills including exceptional negotiation and facilitation skills to effectively influence and reach consensus, buy-in, commitment, and accountability to ensure program success
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • The ability to actively develop talent and culture to achieve results
