The mission of the PATIENT EXPERIENCE MARKETING AND STRATEGY TEAM is to design and implement a patient journey that:
  • creates the right patient trust to fuel increased customer satisfaction
  • builds a huge differentiator wrapped around our innovative therapy offerings
  • focusses on onboarding and loyalty strategies for patients on our therapies in order to maximize their therapy results 
The current scope of this role is the creation and maintenance of patient content resources related to their Medtronic Diabetes devices or to their life with diabetes in different online and offline channels, contributing to a great engaging and personalized experience that helps patients improve their outcomes and make them loyal customers or even brand advocates. 
A Day in the Life
  • Defines content needs for the targeted audiences in the various content streams, calendars and strategies to shape stakeholder perception and drive business results.
  • Serves as in house "journalist" or "content creator". 
    • Looks for, produces and/or adapts high quality and relevant online and offline content packages comprised of written material, video, social, digital, infographic and other creative vehicles to tell relevant stories mainly to existing Medtronic Diabetes patients and their caregivers.  
    • Monitors new content, trending news stories and key audience discussions inside and outside Medtronic to find opportunities to keep engaging patients. 
    • Adapts content to fit the channel and the target audience (therapy maturity, age,…)
  • Organizes and maintains the central content resource library and monitors / guides content for existing patients in the various countries
Engages with:
  • Medtronic customers, partners, employees, thought leaders and other stakeholders as appropriate to understand their needs and to produce relevant content. 
  • Patient marketing and education teams (EMEA central, in country and in other regions) to identify local needs and understand which content is created locally and to share new content, calendar, new resources etc.  
  • Agencies to create and localize the content packages. 
  • Utilizes various sources of data and analyzes information in order to assess and improve content relevant
Must Haves
  • BSc or BA or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent (native) verbal and written communication and editing skills in English in different styles / tones
  • Strong proven work experience as a Content Creator, copywriter or similar role
  • Experience in the design and development of content for consumers (products, wellbeing, services, psychology, nutrition, …) in a commercial or healthcare environment 
  • Experience with digital technologies and content management systems
  • Great research skills and ability to fact-check content pieces and to tailor to the audience / channel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in cross functional teams and communicate effectively with medical and non-medical professionals at all levels and in an international environment 
  • Ability to operate and communicate within a matrix management structure
  • Presentation skills, skills to facilitate and moderate group discussions
  • Strategic, innovative & “outside-in” thinking
  • Flexibility to travel in EMEA region and stay away from home as necessary (up to 30%)
  • Highly motivated, focused and have the ability to self-manage
