Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required and 10+ years of experience in purchasing, sourcing or supply chain management in manufacturing operations, engineering or other relevant area with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with 8+ years of experience in purchasing, sourcing or supply chain management in manufacturing operations, engineering or other relevant area with 7+ years of managerial experience

•           Five years of leadership experience managing a team

•           Experience with lean manufacturing, project management and/or six-sigma methodologies

 

Nice to Have

Experience with lean manufacturing, project management and/or six-sigma methodologies

Strongly prefer 15 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing or supply chain

Prefer MBA

Lean Manufacturing, Project Management and Six-Sigma Methodologies. Certification from the Institute of Supply Management (C.P.M., C.P.I.M, C.I.R.M., C.Q.E.), eSourcing platform (ARIBA)

Excellent leadership, organization, communication and negotiation skills.

 

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative/integrative style of working to accomplish objective. 

Proven track record of building credible, reliable, customer focused sources of supply across multiple regions and multiple business units.

Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant productivity improvement (Quality, Service Levels, Delivery and Cost) year on year.

Demonstrated success in change management and in building high performance cross functional global work teams. 

Possesses a decisive goal oriented and priority focused approach. 

Views team work and cross functional partnership as a primary means to achieve objectives. 

Demonstrates strong business acumen and a bias for action. 

Good communicator both written and oral. 

Possesses strong process orientation striving for continuous improvement. 

Demonstrated strategic sourcing skills in a multi-business, multi-location global environment. 

Has medical device technical knowledge and ability to comprehend complex items related to customer, category and equipment specifications, contract terms and conditions, statements of work, engineering drawings and material specifications. 

Must have technical knowledge related to performance and manufacturing processes related to fabricated metals, such as stamping, CNC machining, Metal Injection Molding, wireforms, and assemblies. 

Must have sufficient analytical skills to perform highly complex total cost of ownership analysis. 

Be willing to travel up to 25% – extensive at times. 

Must maintain high ethical standards to support a professional business code of conduct.
