A Day in the Life
 

This position will work within the Neuroscience and Spine Healthcare Solutions group to develop solutions, offerings, and programs in the areas of brain, pain, and spine that are identified as healthcare market and business needs, aligning with the Strategic Solutions Directors, other members of Strategic Alliances, and Directors of Strategic Accounts.  This position will create and manage program development and establish the infrastructure, policies, and processes needed to support the development and commercialization of the offerings.  This position will work closely with all members of the Neuroscience and Spine Healthcare Solutions team, Directors of Strategic Accounts, other sales leadership, and key personnel from the respective RTG Business Units, as well as interface with hospital administration and leadership.

 

The successful candidate for this position will have solid program development experience, along with business or consulting experience, with healthcare experience preferred, including proven expertise in assembling and leading cross-functional teams. This position will interact with senior hospital administrators, clinical and medical leaders, and Medtronic leaders. Reports to VP, Neuroscience and Spine Healthcare Solutions, Strategic Alliances, RTG. Travel will be required at approximately 40%.  Flexible working conditions may include office settings or working remotely.

 
 
 

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

 

Essential Functions:

 
  1. Identify and prioritize market and business needs for solution offerings in the areas of brain, pain, and spine
  2. Partner and align with Strategic Solutions Directors and work closely with Directors of Strategic Accounts throughout the development and commercialization processes
  3. Develop business plans and financial models for identified offerings and opportunities
  4. Secure needed alignment and support from relevant Business Unit to develop and commercialize offerings
  5. Identify and codify the appropriate development process for solutions, offerings, and Value Based Healthcare Programs
  6. Identify, set-up, implement, and manage pilot programs and locations, including governance, legal agreements, compliance documents, other
  7. Establish the infrastructure, policies, and processes needed to support the development and commercialization of programs
  8. Establish relevant metrics and create the processes & templates required to implement, manage, and monitor programs in commercial settings
  9. Identify and communicate with key stakeholders frequently
  10. Support the development and implementation of the commercialization plan with key messages, presentations, marketing collateral and training materials
  11. Provide ongoing support as needed for the implementation of programs at commercial locations
  12. Monitor and iterate offerings as needed
  13. Other duties as assigned 

Must Have: Minimum Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience
Nice to Have
 
  • BA or BS in marketing, business, or related field; MBA; MS, or MHA preferred
  • At least 7 years of marketing, program development, consulting, or other relevant business experience required; healthcare experience preferred
  • Proven progression of responsibility
  • Proficiency in project planning and tools required to determine business plans and financial models
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and issues
  • Understanding of the medical device industry
  • Working knowledge of healthcare reform initiatives including VBHC, risk sharing. Other
