Must Have

Minimum Qualification

Minimum of  12 years of applicable work experience in a product development & global team environment specific to Agile software product development

  • Management experience in leading engineering teams and/or R & D function
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct people management and program management experience within engineering and/or R & D function
  • New Product Development experience in design, development & verification of application software, UI design, firmware, and OEM integration
  • Experience in QT UI platform, C++, software and embedded software development.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in test automation tools such as Squish
  • Experience in Extreme Programming practices such as Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development
  • Knowledge and/or experience in FDA Design Controls
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Design Thinking and Agile Dual-Track development
  • Medical device MNC experience would be a plus
  • Good understanding of Connectivity technologies – IoT platforms, Sensors, Web, Mobile app would be desirable
  • Prior experience in a large MNC on technical Managerial roles is preferred
  • Prior experience working with cross-cultural teamwork experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in the field of product development and product engineering
  • Experience leading a full-lifecycle of new product development release from concept to commercialization.
  • Proven track record identifying and executing complex engineering projects.
  • Ability to lead a team of size 10 to 15 employees, within a large, diverse MNC; including talent management.
  • Ability to mentor and coach employees to maximize their potential.
  • Experience in the areas of design for lean six sigma, Quality through design, Extreme programming and Systems Engineering.
  • Knowledgeable in IEC standards such as 60601, 62304.
  • Experience in software development practices and models, and must be comfortable with Firmware development.
  • Critical experience in handling large to medium software development projects for desktop, web and mobile applications revolving around connected health care.
  • Collaborate with the global engineering teams in the development and implementation of medical software application that includes libraries, frameworks, testing platforms and services, and deployment methods that can help build vertical solutions for various therapies.
  • Identify the needs and prepare capabilities in the software application development and verification and validation areas. 
  • Drive productivity improvements in software development and establish software best practices across the projects. 
  • Provide a deep understanding of the software development processes (Agile, XP and Lean methodology) and help establish software metrics & recommend the processes for the team.
  • Research and maintain solution architecture, technical design, tools and technology stack and related system and drive proof of concept efforts at Hyderabad.
  • Work with the global software engineering team, and apply deep working knowledge of the architecture trends and emerging technologies, while assisting and participating in the development of roadmaps and strategy.
  • Apply best practices for development and testing in terms of coding standards, design patterns, reusable components, and automation.
  • Deliver to the expectations of the business units to accomplish project goals.
  • Establish and remain educated on the  technology standards ( HL7 , 62304, ISO 11073 etc).
  • Evaluate new  technologies/trends/security/testing, provide technical vision, and contribute significantly to solution innovation.
  • Identify, hire, train and deploy resources  as part of establishing a team of software excellence as per competency details above and create meaningful digital healthcare solutions
  • Develop human resources by coaching, empowering, reviewing results, both in technical areas and in “soft” skills
  • Identify solution knowledge gaps within Hyderabad in software solutions and prepare plans to address them (strategic alliances and self-managed teams) 
  • Work closely with the global software teams to ensure that the technology decisions are consistent with the overall business unit technical strategy.
  • Excellent Technology management, project management skills; demonstrated success executing complex engineering projects with diverse technical teams; management of globally dispersed teams highly-preferred;
  • The position requires a highly collaborative individual with critical experience in lean/agile/XP processes and an understanding of the environment and tools required for efficient and effective delivery of innovative and highperformance medical device software and health care solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, negotiating; managing change; goal setting; planning and organizing teamwork; ability to address difficult situations;
  • Must possess managerial courage; must be confident managing risks and making decisions that will likely have a large impact on the organizational objectives.
  • Good financial acumen; strong mathematical and financial capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience managing a medium, diverse technical team with budgetary responsibility
  • Must have leadership skills and personal strength to protect projects from unsubstantial change requests while ensuring project focus remains in place.
  • Fluency in English

  • Up to 15 % travel internationally and domestic

Nice to Haves

  • Masters or Bachelors in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science, Electronics or related field is required
  • Certification in Agile SCRUM / SAFe Agile is required
  • Certification in Lean and Six Sigma is desire
  • Certification in PMI PMP is desired.
  • Certification in Systems Engineering is desired.
