The Global Pricing Strategy Consultant is a member of the CVG Pricing team responsible for supporting the key objectives of CVG Pricing team.  The individual will be the main point of contact for an assigned global SBU and partner with the SBU throughout lifecycle pricing strategy from upstream portfolio planning, pricing strategy development and execution throughout the launch commercialization process.  Explore and consider business model options that will result in optimal revenue & EBIT performance.  

A Day in the Life

Two days are never the same in this role.  As a Global Pricing Strategy Consultant you will provide technical pricing expertise and business partnering with various stakeholders including marketing, finance and regional pricing leaders.  You will be responsible for defining value for product and technology features using value-based pricing tools, customer and expert feedback, market assessment and standardized processes as well as driving accountability to deliver pricing related activities throughout development, commercialization and phase out timelines.  You will provide insights that influence leadership decisions by developing and leveraging advanced metrics and data.  You will train and coach internal teams on pricing tools, strategy and execution tactics.

Position Responsibilities:
Partner with strategic business unit, marketing and finance to establish consistent global pricing launch objectives
Assess global healthcare economic environment while establishing global strategy and guardrails
Partner with regional pricing leaders to understand how to optimize regional and local launches that are aligned to broader objectives 
Coach regional pricing teams on pricing strategy development and launch activities to ensure process steps are completed within the appropriate timeline
Establish appropriate target and floor prices with focus on maximizing profit in addressable markets, while balancing risk
Develop portfolio recommendations with marketing that cover portfolio design, phase in, phase out and inform product placement across various geographies
Expectation to execute on multiple projects or product launches that overlap, while meeting deadlines
Develop pricing tools, processes and launch metrics that can be utilized across multiple launches and geographies 
Leverage business acumen and problem-solving skills to effectively summarize and communicate opportunities, risks and execution plans to key stakeholders
Accountable for data analysis, reporting that provide insights that highlight risks and opportunities to drive leadership action
Must Haves

10+ years of business or finance experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Marketing, Business or Economics; or, 8+ years of business or finance experience with a Master’s Degree
Ability to travel globally up to 20% of the time
Flexible to lead and attend video & audio conference calls during early mornings and evenings 4-6 days/month

Nice to Haves

Master’s Degree
Prior success handling time-sensitive ambiguous projects in a dynamic business environment
Ability to assess complex data and variables to identify trends and provide insights and recommended plans of action
Demonstrated examples of the ability to gain cross-functional and Sr. Leader alignment for projects or product launches that have resulted in achieving or exceeding business objectives 
Experience working in a global marketing or healthcare finance or economics role
Advanced modeling, forecasting, risk assessment and scenario planning skills
Negotiation or influence management capabilities
Business Acumen
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Business Objects and Visualization software (i.e. Tableau)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to adjust style to audience
Independent thinker, self- starter, not afraid to tackle ambiguity
Intellectual curiosity in understanding the business and what drives success
