A Day in the Life

Printed circuit board design
Wiring design

The goal of this position is to take part in the development medical robotic systems for the spine surgery industry from concept to implementation.

  • EM and electric safety compliance for common medical-electrical standards

  • All hardware electrical related issues – engineering changes, malfunction debugging, component reliability, etc.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

BSc degree in Electronics Engineering
PCB design – 2+ years experience
PCB Layout with sub-contractors.
Multidisciplinary medical systems design – Advantage.
Specific Skills:
Team player.
Hands On Skills.

Experience Requirements:

  • OrCAD Capture or equivalent schematic SW – 2+ years experience

  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and assembly line requirements.

  • Experience with off the shelf components such as: motors, optic sensors, LEDs

  • Understanding the different stages of the product development process.

  • Experience with medical-electrical standards IEC60601-1 & IEC60601-1-2.

  • Experience with CAN (controller area network) communication – Advantage.

  • Systematic approach to problem solving and issue resolution combined with good understanding of the relevant technologies and their practical applications.

  • Self-starter and capable of working with minimal supervision.  Ability to multi-task and provide expertise and leadership across multiple projects.

  • Good oral and written communication skills

Other Requirements for the role (% of travel, etc.):

  • Domestic and International Travel is required
