This is an exciting opportunity where, as Health Economy and Reimbursement Specialist you will work with the Health Care System in order to achieve  market access  and diffusion of our therapies and solutions for eligible patients. In particular you will collect, analyze and synthesize existing data in order to document clinical and economic value of our therapies and services, develop and execute best strategies in order to gain and maintain the best access  for our therapies and services. You will also use our expertise in health economics and health data, bringing our partners tools and knowledge in order to increase the diffusion of our therapies and services.

For this role you will be expected to be located in Warsaw, Poland.

A Day in the Life

Principal responsibilities of Health Economy and Reimbursement Specialist: 

  • With  Health Economic and Reimbursement Manager and Business Units Managers, to define and execute market access strategy  for Medtronic Therapies
  • To define clinical and economic value of Medtronic therapies and prepare required arguments to demonstrate this value proposition to Health Authorities and key stakeholders of the Health care system including Hospitals.
  • To prepare and support managers during pricing negotiations with Authorities, participate in these negotiations.
  • To execute company’s market access  vs. Health Authorities, in order to ensure permanent funding   of therapies & solutions:
  • To design the tactical steps required to achieve funding and execute: innovation alternative funding, clinical and economics data analysis or conception, medical consensus.
  • To prepare, submit and follow HTA  dossiers and economics argumentation for Health Authorities, including direct interaction with HE&R Manager and BU Managers.
  • To coordinate with Clinical research organization the Post-inscription studies, requested to renew  or to achieve permanent market access  in case of innovation funding.
  • To cooperate with external experts & HTA agencies.
  • To monitor changes in Healthcare System.
  • To define and deploy Economic Value proposition, depending of key hospital stakeholders (clinical & non-clinical).
  • To analyze and prepare the Economic Value proposition for Polish market.
  • To prepare EV tools (Budget impact models, i-pad tools, PMSI analysis) to help demonstration of EV on the field.
  • To develop network of KOL (working groups, bards, EV interaction etc…).
  • To handle internal and external trainings, regarding health economics, HTA, funding, coding and health environment.
Must Haves and Nice to Haves:
Must haves:
  • Initial scientific education (physician, pharmacists, biology, engineer, economics business etc…).
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in medical devices or pharma industry / healthcare institution.
  • Fluent English.
  • Strong MS office knowledge.
  • Excellent relationship and communication abilities in order to be able to built solid relationship and network with internal customers (BUs) and external experts (health care professionals, hospital stakeholders and Health Authorities)
  • Project management skills: we are looking for a person, able to coordinate complex projects and diverse teams.
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Good work organization, strong prioritizing skills.
  • Good knowledge of Polish healthcare system.
  • Good knowledge of Health Economics.
  • Good knowledge of HTA.
  • Good knowledge of Clinical trials and observational studies methodology.
  • Strong analysis and synthesis capacity.
  • Strategic thinking. 
Nice to haves:
  • Post-graduate education in Health economics is a plus.
