A Day in the Life

Working closely with the Internal Sales & Marketing teams and various external stakeholders, this position supports Medtronic Canada’s compliance approval program and conventions program.


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides project or program support to a functional group or business process.
  • Monitors program/project/system status, budgets and timetables.
  • Applies knowledge of and experience in company operations to assist in the development, implementation and administration of program/system guidelines and procedures.
  • Gathers and compiles information for reports.
  • Provides technical support, which may include program/system training, program/system documentation, data extraction, data review, tracking and coding.
  • Receiving and processing funding and sponsorship compliance approval requests and providing proper documentation/communication for internal/external requestors in a timely fashion and following a set compliance process.
  • Work closely with the Legal and Compliance Team to ensure requisitions meet the appropriate requirements to complete the transaction.
  • Monitors budgets and timetables.
  • Could include the planning and execution of external and internal events, including conventions and employee meetings.
  • Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires full job knowledge of systems and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.
  • Bilingual French is considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills—capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal skills: exceptional verbal/written communication, listening.
  • Highly self-motivated contributor who works well as an individual and within a team environment.
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to Have
  • College degree or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in meeting/events planning is considered an asset.
  • Experience in Accounts Payable is considered an asset.
  • Experience with SAP considered an asset.
