Lead Japan HR operations team, spanning payroll, work time and leave record, social insurance, employee health managements, and overall functional operations.  Also manage Operation Support Team, which is membered by personnel with disability to provide operational supports for overall functions in Shinagawa HQ including HR.  In addition to OST, s/he will manage massage room operations and disability colleagues working as massage therapists.

Provide centralized HR operational services and supports and ensure efficiency and quality of HR operations, transaction processes, and technology.

- HR Operation team:  3 members

- Operation Support Team:  11 member


- Manage experienced professionals and staffs who exercise latitude and independence in assignments

- Establish operational plans and strive for continuous improvement and consistency in deliverables of team activities

- Coordinate operations and supports with other CoE managers and specialists, HRBPs, HRIS, and other functions

- Establish standards and procedures for handling employee questions, transactions and administration of HR programs

- Lead and manage payroll and ensure accuracy in operations and calculations

- Lead and monitor work time and leave record and reporting

- Manage employee health management

- Supervise social insurance operations

- May interact on issues that have internally/externally shared objectives

- Accountable for developing, coaching and mentoring staff on meeting/exceeding performance expectations and defined objectives

- Provide tactical and operational leadership to the team ensuring the prioritization of tasks and functional initiatives



- Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor in Arts.

- Minimum 8 years general HR experiences

- 2+ years of people management experience

- Fluent in both English and Japanese 



- Practical knowledges and understanding in leading and managing the execution of payroll and overall HR functional operations, projects, etc.

- In-depth knowledges and understanding of labor law and market practice and trends

- Problem solving skill

- Project management skill

- Demonstrated ability to work with key stakeholders/decision makers (internal/external)



- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent interpersonal skills to enable effective relationships across a global company

- Strong leadership with the ability to motivate both own team and wider team to achieve results and create a high performing and engaged team
