A Day in the Life

In this position you will perform a variety of import/export duties that includes supporting goods trade classification, helping to define local design for the trade classification process, occasionally processing documents and data necessary to facilitate shipments between international locations. You will also be part of the elaboration of a series of procedures and processes that will regulate Trade Compliance activities across the Operations Network. You will be partnering with our Enterprise Trade Team (Global Trade Operations- GTO) to ensure standardization and constancy for the Trade activities as well as participating in the Global Trade Transformation.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage the process for items trade classification (COO, HS code, ECCN, etc.) in collaboration with GTO and the Regions
  • Collect all necessary pre-defined trade documents from various functional areas (Engineering, Planning, Sourcing, Finance, Manufacturing, IT, etc.) for GTO to perform the items classification
  • Prepare and control KPIs related to items trade classification
  • Participate in and/or occasionally lead Trade Compliance related projects
  • Communicate company policies and effective liaison with other functional areas (e.g., Logistics, Sourcing, Materials Management, etc.) within the Operating Units that have a stake on Trade Compliance Program
  • Support department compliance goals and initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years of import/export and international trade experience.

  • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong analytical and communication abilities
  • Proficient in computer technology and Microsoft Office applications
  • Fluency in English
