A Day in the Life


Remote Sales is an innovative service provided by Medtronic, that offers a single dedicated product expert who will assist our territory with timely and accurate information. Our remote sales team is located at our Medtronic head office in Sydney.


Medtronic has an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and professional Remote Sales Product Specialist (12 Month Contract) to join our team in Sydney. You will be self-motivated, positive and have a friendly consultative approach to sales, working as a partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance our product range and offerings. You will have the ability to source, develop and close deals for the business and refer on internal leads when appropriate and have the ability to quickly establish credibility with all levels of customer base. As a Remote Sales Product Specialist, you will achieve and ideally exceed territory sales revenue and growth targets for Medtronic products and services.


You will support Medtronic MITG sales, business development and marketing strategies and practice professional and effective territory management including organisation, administration, inventory management. You must have a curious nature and a willingness to learn, especially technical information to be trained and gain experience in supporting our market leading technology across a broad range of procedures. Working within a fun and highly successful Remote Sales team, you will be given the opportunity to truly grow your career and shoot for the stars.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant direct sales opportunities
  • Serve as Remote Sales Product Specialist for pre-defined territory locations to achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and all the relevant goals and metrics.
  • Generate market interest and close sales by executing product and segment marketing activities such as product demonstrations, focus areas or campaigns
  • Actively solicit all Medtronic product opportunities, referring leads as appropriate
  • Build relationships and trust with customers, be a key part of their buying decisions
  • Understand customer buying patterns and use it to schedule calls
  • Contribute to the fiscal revenue goal and propose/define tactical activities

 

Must Have:

  • Several jurisdictions across Australia have established mandatory requirements for healthcare workers and others working in health care settings to be vaccinated with at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. To be eligible to apply and be considered for this role, Medtronic Australasia requires candidates to meet the conditions of the relevant and current Government directions (including Public Health Orders). The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of vaccination before an appointment.
  • Sales experience in terms of daily activities, negotiating and understanding customer needs and requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree, tertiary qualifications in nursing, general science, business degree or similar highly regarded.
  • Experience in a “team oriented” sales environment and proven ability in building strong stakeholder relationshipe
  • Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software and CRM
  • Strategic agility with strong commercial acumen and a professional manner
