A day in the Life                                                                                                                                                                                                      

The manager of the Local Loaner sites and suppliers is the intermediate between the Medtronic operational departments, the Local Loaner sites and our suppliers. Partnering with Quality Assurance, Customer Care, Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales operations, and Transportation to support the strategic goals and deliver service levels according to the business needs and customer expectations.

As the intermediate for the EMEA Spine loaner operations in Spain, Portugal, and South Africa. You act as focal point for the local teams to ensure right quality and service levels towards our customers. Collaboration with the EOC engineering, operational and supply chain team is crucial to meet the KPI targets set. Frequent contacts and reviews, stakeholder management and action planning & follow up are part of your operational business responsibility.

 In this role you establish a productive and professional relationship. We expect you to proactively manage performance objectives, targets, and critical milestones according to the service level agreements. You ensure that day-to-day logistics, customer care, transportation and supply chain issues are properly addressed and timely resolved. Further-more you proactively assess, clarify, and validate related business needs on an ongoing basis. In this role you initiate solution development efforts that best address customer and business needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary stakeholders. The manager Local Loaner sites and supplier’s reviews and discusses service level performances and improvements needed within quarterly business reviews with applicable stakeholders.

You participate in various projects, representing Loaner Services and where needed take the lead.

Must Haves                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

  • Bachelor or master degree in logistics or supply chain                                                                                                                     
  •  5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management in an international environment                   
  • Project management background in Customer Care, Logistics and Supply Chain                                                       
  • Preferable Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification                                                                                                                 
  •  Passionate and able to inspire, convince and influence people                                                                                                                                  
  • Strong business acumen                                                                                                                                                                       
  • Willing to travel ~>25% of job                                                                                                                                                                   
  • Easy to manage; communication and doing business in a trusted relationship with management

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of disinfection and sterilization of medical instruments

Please note that for this position, relocation support is not provided. Preferably, we are looking for candidates that live within a max 80km radius of our Medtronic office in Heerlen, the Netherlands.

After covid we expect to work 2 days per week in the office, the other days will be home office. The exact way of working will be further decided & communicated by Medtronic.
