Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have:

  • 5 years in manufacturing environment in progressive leadership roles.   
  • Experience in medical manufacturing under FDA/GMP conditions in a manufacturing environment, preferably medical devices;
  • Experience as an Engineer, Production Supervisor, or Buyer/Planner
  • Excellent personal, organizational and leadership skills;
  • Proficiency with business software and network applications.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations and standards governing medical device manufacturing
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to recognize and support site priorities
  • Capable of managing projects and prioritizing effectively
  • Ability to establish relationships and develop beneficial networks outside of the Focus Factory.
  •  Staffing and Capcity – Develop comprehensive staffing and capacity plans utilizing TOC and std hours to ensure operating targets are obtained without the use of systematic overtime and factory capacity levels meet operational objectives
  • Demand Based Production & Material Supply – Integrates TPS/DFT principles to drive reductions in WIP and cycle time. Implements designed kanban resupply & production systems throughout mfg and support areas
  • Visual Workplace – Workplace Organization (5S) executed at high levels throughout organization and transitioned to Visual Workplace
  • Financial Acumen – Demonstrates in depth knowledge of plant financials and manages business appropriately
  • Personnel/Team Development & Change Management – Develops personnel and teams, drives natural work team Kaizen processes and demonstrates knowledge of organizational change principles.
  • Project Management – Utilizes project management methodologies
  • Root Cause Analysis – DAMIC A3, Kepner-Tregoe or other methodical approach.  Ensures effective corrective actions.
  • Training – drives improvements in training effectiveness through Training Within Industry or similar techniques.
