Our Manufacturing Supervisors are responsible for the effective leadership, direction and management of a manufacturing cell or value stream team whilst ensuring safety, quality, compliance, service and financial performance is maximised.
A key requirement of the role is performance management of production assistants in the team.

• Day to Day management, organization and co-ordination of a production team to manufacture quality product on schedule and in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with cGMP
• Develop and promote a culture of continuous improvement and engagement
• Develop and motivate direct reports by assisting in the establishment of SMART goals for the team.
• Initiate and drive production and quality improvement projects in line with the principles of Operational Excellence techniques (example: Cell Operating System).
• Communication – ensure routine communication is conducted with team updating the team on performance and various initiatives.
• Coordinate and communicate with internal and external customers as necessary
• Identification & optimum allocation of production resources (i.e. people, equipment, time, etc).
• Completion of timely performance reviews and appraisals.
• Implement company personnel policies including disciplinary procedures in conjunction with HR.
• Maintain positive employee relations.
• Formulate and implement training plans to meet compliance, versatility and development needs
• Maintain a very high standard of housekeeping and GMP compliance
• Develop a strong team culture through communications and team leadership
• Provide support on new product introductions.
• Follow all environmental, health & safety rules and procedures. Promote and participate in EH&S activities in order to improve the workplace for all employees
• Compliance, ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
• Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production
• Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
• Provide Team Leadership and Coaching:
o Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking,
and cohesive team effort
o Lead by setting a good example (role model) - behavior consistent with words
o Provide the team with a vision of the project objectives
o Motivate and inspire team members
o Facilitate problem solving and collaboration
o Intervene early to resolve issues
o Ensure discussions and decisions lead toward closure
o Maintain healthy group dynamics
o Recognize and celebrate team and individual accomplishments

• Bachelor’s degree (Level 7) desirable
• Minimum of 4 to 5 years in a production leadership role
• Demonstrated organizational and planning abilities
• Proven experience in the requirements of a medical device regulated manufacturer or
experience of an industry with similar demands
• Operational Excellence (Lean or Six Sigma) techniques is advantageous with a
commitment to continuous improvement
• Strong leadership, inter-personal and team building skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to motivate others, delegate work and explain ideas / strategy
• Technical aptitude
