  • To work closely with local distributor and drive MDT product awareness and therapy adoption to deliver achieve sales revenue and increase market share.
  • To effectively manage existing distributors to increase market penetration and provide excellent service and develop new business to achieve targeted business growth.
  • To assist in the development of building the competence of the distributor sales force and local Medtronic staff in product knowledge and selling skills to penetrate the market, enhancing customer experience (rather than customer satisfaction) and exceeding AOP year on year.
  • To have in-depth market knowledge of assigned country/market by working closely with distributor(s) and key users within the country/market .


A Day in the Life


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned

  • Exceed Financial Objective – e.g. AOP & EBIT of the assigned Division(s) and country/market
  • Implement business plans and provide feedback to regional team.
  • Lead the local Medtronic staff and work with distributor(s) through
    • Excellence in sales coaching, target setting, sales coverage
    • Competency in product knowledge
  • Work with other Medtronic stakeholders
    • SCM for total customer solution and experience. Develop consignment rationale, proposal and management processes
    • Finance to manage accounts receivables.
    • Regulatory Affair for getting product registration approval and reimbursement.
  • Market and customer management
    • Create customer database and tracking Sales progress
    • Market data & information gathering
    • Identify and develop KOL and its program
    • Based on competitive information, develop counter-active strategy
  • Manage existing and new products and the mix
  • To ensure local Medtronic staff and distributor(s) fully comply to Medtronic’s corporate policies, code of conducts, practices and guidelines
  • Regularly feedback and report business performance and market updates to Business Manager, and any other Medtronic Management, as requested


Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience


Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading commercial team in the medical device industry with strong track record.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, biomedical engineering, medical technology, nursing or any related field
