MEDICAL AFFAIRS PROGRAM MANAGER

Medtronic’s RGI business includes Gastrointestinal and Hepatology (GIH), Respiratory Interventions (RI) and Patient Monitoring (PM).

As the Medical Affairs Program Manager you will be responsible for overall for RGI Medical Affairs governance, including:
  • Coordinating the RGI Medical Affairs quarterly report
  • Overseeing Leadership and Extended Leadership Team meetings
  • Coordinating cross functional reviews between Medical Affairs and RGI business
  • Maintaining communications dashboards tracking RGI Medical Affairs organizational goals
The Program Manager will direct critical projects within RGI Medical Affairs, including but not exclusive to:
  • Clinical Acumen planning and execution
  • Professional society planning and execution
  • KOL engagement strategy execution
  • Global and Regional Medical Affairs interaction and alignment
A Day In The Life
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Coordinate resources and cross-functional stakeholders for the execution of critical projects
  • Manage changes to the project scope and schedule using appropriate techniques
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time and within scope
  • Lead and direct project teams including leading team meetings and producing meeting minutes
  • Ability to communicate and present comfortably to senior leadership
  • Ensure all regulatory and compliance internal and external guidelines relevant to the position are followed.
  • Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs (e.g. medical science, clinical affairs, regulatory affairs, heath care economics) and/or project management 
  • Or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs (e.g. medical science, clinical affairs, regulatory affairs, heath care economics) and/or project management 
Nice To Have
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Knowledge of functional areas within Medical Affairs (Clinical Affairs, Pre-Clinical Affairs, Healthcare Economics, Policy and Reimbursement, Professional Affairs and Clinical Education and Medical Science) 
  • Knowledge of key functional areas outside of Medical Affairs (e.g. Marketing, Compliance, R&D)
  • Proven ability to support/or co-lead multiple high-impact projects
  • Proven ability to establish cross-functional working relationships 
  • Ability to think strategically, solve problems effectively and persistent follow-through to ensure project success
  • Ability to work self-directed, independently
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures
  • Analytical skills and capability to understand complex information
  • Solution oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Change management skills
