This role is responsible for providing legal support to the RTG businesses by drafting and negotiating sales contracts, and additional transactional support to sales in CVG and RTG. This role is part of a centralized team that provides services to the organization in all matters relating to US sales contracts for the CVG and RTG business units.  This role serves both internal and external customers.

This position can reside in Memphis, TN, Fridley, MN or Jacksonville, FL.

A Day in the Life


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Provides legal assistance to corporate attorneys and senior paralegals.
  • Drafts, redlines, reviews and negotiates sales contracts.
  • Conducts research on projects as directed by corporate attorneys and senior paralegals.
  • May review and ensure the company's compliance with regulations.
  • Assists internally in analyzing documents.
  • Counsels on progress of contracts.
  • Demonstrates Contract Expertise - Drafts, negotiates, and finalizes agreements of various types, which may include Product Agreements, Capital Placement Agreements, Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) and other general sales contracts.  Ensures contract terms are consistent with Medtronic policies and with legal and regulatory advice.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2+ years of paralegal or contract analyst experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or, 0 years of experience with an advanced degree
Nice to Have
  • Paralegal Certificate
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, modifying, and negotiating various agreement types
  • Sales and general contracts experience
  • Experience working directly with business clients
  • Flexibility, adaptability, pragmatism, responsiveness and collegiality
  • Integrity and strong ethical center
  • Capable of inspiring trust and confidence of client groups
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Experience with web-based systems
