Provide legal advice and support within the US Sales Contracting Organization (within the Americas) on topics including, but, not limited to, medical device sales and marketing programs, commercial sales agreements, other commercial contracts, Business Associate Agreements, Information Security Agreements, reimbursement, and other federal healthcare law, FDA law, employment law, government contracting, antitrust and dispute resolution. 

This position reports to the Legal Director, US Sales Contracting Organization (CVG & RTG).

A Day in the Life


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides legal advice, counsel and service to internal business clients on legal issues. 
  • Draft, review, revise and negotiate contracts with customers and their legal counsel.
  • Work collaboratively with other lawyers, paralegals and administrative staff to provide legal counsel for the areas described above.
  • Keeps current on legislative issues, statutes, decisions and ordinances of quasi-judicial bodies. 
  • Advises business partners regarding concerns on risk assessment, anti-kickback, and anti-trust regulations. 
  • Ability to work within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Must have admission to practice law. 
  • May develop, review, or implement company-wide and/or functionally specific training programs. 
  • May work with outside counsel to direct activities.


Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Juris Doctor 
  • Minimum 5 years of attorney experience working with commercial contracts 
Nice to Have
  • MBA or a Master’s degree 
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Big Four Public Accounting experience
  • Experience working in Audit function (external or internal)
  • Sound understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Exceptional performer with high degree of self-motivation
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously while appropriately prioritizing
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with and influence all levels of leadership and executive management
  • Demonstration of excellent judgment and decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to manage to tight deadlines, along with flexibility to changing priorities
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel & PowerPoint) and with financial applications (SAP, Hyperion)
