The Aortic, Peripheral and Venous (APV) therapy lines within the larger Cardiac and Vascular Group (CVG) business is hiring a digital/social media guru who has a passion for digital and social media advertising and analytics, and has a demonstrated track record of  developing, implementing, managing, optimizing and reporting on successful programs. This is a new role created as a  result of strong business growth and exciting new communication opportunities emerging in the medical device space. You will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies (part of larger integrated communications  plans) across all APV digital marketing platforms. The ideal candidate must be able to use their in-depth understanding of content marketing and analytics to develop digital and social initiatives that will elevate digital presence and  communication with healthcare providers and patients, and ultimately impact sales.

You will be a key member of the APV Marcom Team and will work directly with the Marcom Managers and Medtronic APV Product Marketing Teams and vendors to define sophisticated campaigns, define KPI’s and campaign goals, and develop campaign tracking and reporting strategies in conjunction with our Global, Digital, Social Media (GDSM) analytics
 teams that will drive business decisions and optimize the conversion experiences for all Medtronic audiences. You will represent the business and will be responsible for aligning digital strategy and initiatives with our overall marketing & sales organization, globally.

A Day in the Life:

•Develop and execute digital/social communication strategy for the APV business
•Work with brand teams to develop and maintain a master content calendar for social media and other digital communication programs (eblasts, content capsules, sponsored content, e-newsletters, etc.)
•Develop and implement detailed social/digital channel plans including requirements, scope, deliverables, key milestones, timeline, resources and budget – as well as gain necessary buy-in from key stakeholders
•Partner with other APV digital specialists, GDSM, agencies and digital vendors to execute tactical deliverables (all media components and media plans for shared/paid/earned and owned channels)
•Manage digital media buy and placement strategy (media buying through Medtronic centralized global-digital service) including scheduling and planning content with brand teams, maximizing exposure, optimize awareness and engagement strategies, manage and report performance metrics, etc.
•Act as a liaison to identifying and vetting new technologies, proposals and vendors for digital channel initiatives to increase customer engagement and interactions
•Improve page rankings on major search engines for target keywords and increase search campaign visitor engagement and conversions
•Provide regular updates to CVG Communications and Marketing Solutions on the latest digital and social media trends, industry news and APV program insight for leveraging best practices across CVG
•Familiarity with A/B or MVT landing page testing to optimize advertising, campaigns, and leads
•Proactively provide strategic recommendations applicable to clients' business models, expectations, and goals
•Work with other APV digital team members to ensure syncing relevant updating/coordinating of website content in concert with social/digital programs and annual content calendar.
•Track metrics and maximize productivity of all web assets
•Work with digital marketing partners across SBUs and geographies to maximize and integrate efforts and budgets
•Vendor management (if applicable depending on budget and strategy)
Must Have:

•Bachelor’s Degree
•7+ years of experience in a digital marketing or communications role (5 years with Advanced Degree)
•Experience developing and executing project work plans
•Experience working with information architecture and content design teams
•Microsoft Office Suite, digital analytical programs and other software experience such as Google Analytics, HTML, ASP JavaScript, Flash and Adobe; Responsive Design; Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

Nice to Have:

•Digital marketing work experience within an Agency or Healthcare industry company
•Experience with Webmaster tools, keyword research tools, ranking tools, PPC program management tools, and multivariable A/B testing
•Business to Business Marketing experience
•Consumer Marketing on Non-Transactional Websites experience
