The Global Supply Chain function is undertaking a Transformation. The Principal Supply Chain Analyst role is key to achieving the overall transformation value. The Principal Supply Chain Analyst will work in the Diabetes Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization.  This role will be responsible for providing reporting and KPI’s to support demand, supply and inventory planning. This role will also drive continuous improvement projects.


This analyst will be responsible for deploying consistent global approaches and mindsets across the Diabetes Group by engaging leaders from across functions and regions.  This role will partner with the Enterprise Process Owners to drive the MDT approach in reporting and analytics.

A Day in the Life


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • ·       Maintain routine reporting for Diabetes GSC organization.

    ·       Works closely with Inventory Program Manager to provide analysis to align with initiatives

    ·       Maintains routine monthly reporting presentations

    ·       Drive best practices in data management and governance within the Diabetes organization.

    ·       Represent Diabetes Supply Chain in corporate initiatives regarding data analytics, standardization of metrics and other as needed.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Nice to Have

Experience using MRP or ERP systems

Experience in Forecasting, Demand Planning, or Master Production Scheduling 

·       Able to develop and maintain metrics

·       Experienced in utilizing outputs from Sales and Operational Planning systems to improve Supply Chain planning and inventory management

·       Medtronic product knowledge and supply chain operations experience

·       Worldwide supply chain experience

·       Knowledge of SAP APO or ERP software system and demonstrated knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products

·       Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools: Spotfire, Business Objects, Oracle, Microsoft Access, Power Bi

·       Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing

·       Ability to work with little direction and supervision, manage timelines and expectations, adjust for unplanned assignments, and adapt to changing priorities

·       Green Belt training or certification is preferred
