Must Have: Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

Nice To Have:

  • A minimum of a BS/BA in Digital/GUI/UX/Interaction Design required plus a minimum of 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Strong visual prototyping and graphic communication (Sketch, InVision, Illustrator, Powerpoint) for design ideation and persuasive/explanatory use (e.g., helping systems engineers illustrate a workflow or interaction concept)
  • Cogent, concise written communication
  • Experience independently managing and prioritizing design approach to multiple projects (e.g. consultancy) or complex systems (e.g. medical systems).

 

Strongly Preferred:

  • 2+ years’ experience with regulated product development process (e.g. IEC62366; requirements; development stages)
  • Experience with timelines and budgeting
  • Workflow agility and clear communication to meet fluid project priorities and requirements and tight timelines

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Standard office setting, surgical lab, operating room, pilot lab, external research organizations, supplier visits
  • Distributed R&D teams
  • Travel up to 10% of the time primarily between Boston and North Haven facilities via car or train as well as other occasional domestic and international travel
