A Day in the Life

Working in the Procurement and Supplier Management Team (PSM) within IHS you will be supporting the sourcing of medical products and services into the IHS Managed Cath Labs.  Your role will see you managing the vendor base and dealing with operational issues that arise in the market.  Your accounts will be located across the UK and Norway and working with the regional lead these will require strategic stakeholder management focused on both internal and client customers.  You will manage and maintain all pricing for PSM, undertaking analysis and interpretation of data to ensure the most advantageous sourcing strategies are in place for IHS.  Based on this you will be involved in negotiating with suppliers and managing procurement processes.

As a Procurement Specialist within IHS your main responsibilities will involve:

 First point of escalation for operational issue resolution with Vendors

Guardian of pricing databases including resolving pricing discrepancies with Vendor

 Custodian of Contract Management Database

Preparation of KPI and Data Dashboards for periodic review with Vendors

Preparation and management of RFPs, including analysis and summarising results ready for making informed decisions

Negotiations with Vendors

Tracking savings delivery against savings forecasts

Onboarding new Vendors and supporting the onboarding process in terms of PSM with new customers

Managing the relationship with backoffice

Drive utilisation and support development of new IT suites

Carry out repair activities (Quality and regulatory requirements)

What we will be looking for in you:

Ideally, you are a results-driven and ambitious professional with excellent communication skills.  You are determined to reach the highest standards whilst remaining dedicated to meeting business requirements and customer expectations. The ability to build & maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders, key vendors and clients.  You are comfortable working in a pan European and International environment with the confidence interact at all levels.  You will also be a self-starter with the ability to independently work whilst seeking advice and input when needed
