We are currently recruiting a Product Manager with a strong Spinal Navigation product background to play a key role within our Restorative Therapies Group. This is a unique opportunity to join our ANZ Spinal and Biologics team and work with cutting edge innovation and a strong therapy pipeline. As the Spinal SME you will drive and implement the sales and marketing plans for our Surgical Synergy programs and you will be recognized as a product expert for our spinal implant systems and spinal navigation products.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, Spinal and Biologics ANZ, the Product Manager will achieve and exceed revenue and market share targets through the promotion of the assigned spinal implant product portfolio, including Medtronic-exclusive spinal navigation (“image guidance”) products and workflows.

This is an opportunity to join Medtronic and work within a highly successful and talented team of marketing professionals and play an instrumental role in the continued success of our Restorative Therapies Group division.



A Day in the Life

  • Be clearly recognized as the ANZ product expert for the assigned portfolio of spinal implant systems and Medtronic-specific spinal navigation products
  • Proactively support the sales force and customers in-person and remotely with a regular cadence of high-impact communications and interactions
  • Passionately demonstrate superior product, clinical and surgical workflow knowledge that clearly differentiates the comprehensive Medtronic Surgical Synergy™ capabilities from the competition
  • Liaise with colleagues locally and globally, both within the Spine business unit and collaboratively in related portfolios such as Neurosurgery
  • Develop and manage direct relationships with key customers for involvement in education programs such as courses and Visiting Surgeon Programs (VSPs)
  • Work closely with Operations/Supply Chain colleagues to forecast and manage inventory with a view to maximizing inventory performance while ensuring products are available when and where needed
  • Lead the preparation and submission activities for hospital tenders and contracts, working closely with colleagues across functions and related portfolios


Must Have:

  • Extensive spine/ neurosurgery product sales or product management experience in the medical devices sector.
  • Tertiary degree in a field relevant to business and/or healthcare.
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Strong ability to work well within a team and autonomously
  • Innovative thinking
  • Achievement oriented and ability to drive results with the highest quality standards
