In this exciting role you will be part of a global community and will have the opportunity to influence public policies globally. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Health Systems Policy, you will manage a new global policy center of excellence. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Medtronic colleagues across the globe, as well as industry partners, government officials, and other stakeholders, to ensure fair access to innovative medical technologies worldwide.

Ideally this position will reside in Washington, D.C. or Minneapolis, MN, however, could work in one of our other US Medtronic office locations or remote.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Monitor and analyze price regulation trends globally by surveying risks quarterly.
  • Lead the preparation of data sets and data analysis.
  • Produce accurate, action-oriented and timely reports and identify areas that require further research.
  • Organize and manage learnings and insights and ensure website and other databases remain current.
  • Recognize, assess and communicate price regulation risks to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with country staff and industry associations to assess and mitigate the impact of price control policies and initiatives that affect the organization.
  • Collaborate with businesses, functions, and external stakeholders to ensure the attainment of the COE’s goals.
  • Develop a budget and operating plan for the program.
  • Adopt a continuous quality improvement approach to assess strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to program staff.
  • Create and support an environment that fosters teamwork, respect and diversity.

 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of program evaluation and/or program management experience; or, an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience
Nice to Have
  • Master’s degree in business, policy, management or related field.
  • Experience in global policy formulation and analysis with a global mindset.
  • Proven experience in program management and strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Experience in complex, virtual, global teams; effective leadership skills, and ability to take responsibility for organizational issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex materials and perform data cleaning; strong understanding of databases, analytical tools, and concepts.
  • Effective team player and proven stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
