A Day in the Life: 
• Define and drive process excellence: Lead activities for process development of new products and continuous improvement of existing processes.  
• Lead product transfer activities from design group into manufacturing.
• Ability to apply Lean Six Sigma and change management tools to complex continuous improvement problems and opportunities.
• Develop data driven approaches to target and prioritize new opportunities.
• Write and execute of validations through methods such as Process Characterization, Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ).
• Work collaboratively with and influence leaders and teams across all hierarchical levels.
• Ability to manage large projects that span outside immediate job area.
• Lead smaller teams of engineers and technicians.  Provide coaching and mentorship to junior level colleagues.
• Contribute to the development and sustainability of a long-term factory vision and defined plan.
• Demonstrated track record showing ability to create and execute to plans.
• Ability to work with general project management tools to plan and monitor resources, activities and timing.
• Ability to proactively identify and initiate potential projects which align with current business needs.
• Exercise considerable latitude in determining deliverables of assignments, with limited oversight from management.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
  • Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills during research and/or product development.
  • Designs studies to investigate specific life science questions within field of expertise.
  • May be involved in product research and development and/or clinical trials.
  • Translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering/Science required
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Nice to have:
• Medical Device Experience
• Experience with leading Kaizen events related to process development/ improvement activities.
• General understanding of regulatory affairs functions.
• Six sigma green belt or black belt certification.
• Master’s degree in an engineering or business management discipline.
