The Medtronic organization in the Netherlands exists out of 1200 enthusiastic professionals. The European Operating Center located in Heerlen houses a team of about 500 professionals in Supply Chain, Warehousing & Logistics, Customer Service, Transport and Master Data Governance. From our main Distribution Centers outside US located in Heerlen, Opglabbeek and Leipzig we serve our customers in over 120+ countries in Europe, Central & Eastern Europe and Middle East & Africa. Next to that the DC’s in Heerlen and Opglabbeek act as a first tier Hub in our worldwide Supply network and as such we also serve other international DC’s of Medtronic with products that are manufactured in Europe. 


A team of 120 Supply Chain professionals is accountable for Supply Chain Management for the entire Medtronic product portfolio containing over 80,000 active products, generating over 4 b$ of revenue via multi-channel sales concepts (B2C, B2B) and multiple inventory strategies (Direct Sales, Hospital Consignment stock, Local Dc’s/forward stocking points).


A Day in the Life

Each Supply Chain Analyst is contributing to the Medtronic Mission by guaranteeing constant product supply in balance with the demand, maximizing the service levels whilst improving asset utilization. As a Supply Chain Analyst, you’re responsible for one or more business lines.

Within the Supply Planning team, you will provide advanced support in the coordination of product availability to meet customer requirements in the EMEA region, in line with the business Supply Chain strategies and processes. In order to achieve the agreed service levels at optimized inventory, you will execute analyzes and monitor incoming supply, planning parameters and inventory levels. You support improvement initiatives to increase business SC performance (X-functional, regional or Global). 

Works in close cooperation with different stakeholders (Demand planning, Inventory Management, Global Supply Chain,  Regional / Country business).

Must Haves
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree  in logistics or supply chain
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management (BA) in an international environment
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management (Master) in an international environment
  • Computer literacy (MS-Office, Excel and preferably SAP / ERP)
  • Excellent command of English language
  • Understand KPI and performance settings
  • Spirit of Continuous improvement
  • Passion to win 

To be successful in this role, you are a natural problem solver with strong analytical skills and a pro-active, hands-on mentality. You have a distinct drive for execution and results and a clear focus on customer satisfaction. You are a team player, who’s able to build lasting relationships with colleagues in other departments and disciplines. Managing several tasks and projects at once poses no problem for you, as is working under pressure.
