A Day in the Life

AS Market Access & Reimbursement you will require to have in-depth knowledge of the healthcare system, breadth of experience across multiple disciplines. You partner with external and internal stakeholders to drive complex process to expend patients' access to Medtronic's therapies.

The Market Access and Reimbursement Analyst (MARA), will lead the development and execution of Medtronic's reimbursement and Market Access strategies for priority therapies in Israel. Thus, securing optimal reimbursement and access for designated MDT therapies. As MAR you will partner with sales, marketing and market development functions in Israel and be a key competence in Medtronic’s strategic shift towards value-based health care.

You will work with the EMEA Health Economics and Reimbursement team (HE&RBT) in order to ensure evidence and analysis framework is optimized for Israel and also influencing and highlighting Israeli opportunities in international evidence generation projects.

The MARA will have direct impact on revenue/EBIT growth in Israel.  

You will develop reimbursement and health economic tools that incorporate both clinical and economic data

You will have 3 mail areas of responsibility:

  1. Expand market access (National health basket reimbursement process, HMO Supplementary insurance reimbursement, private market reimbursement)
  2. Provide market Intelligence for internal stakeholders.
  3. Contribute with key insights to drive value-based healthcare projects.

Must have

  • B.Sc/M.Sc/Ph.D in Economics, Health Economics, Management, Medicine, Public Health, Pharmacy
  • Analytics and qualitative knowledge
  • 2– 4 years' experience from Funding, Reimbursement, Health Economics or Market Access position
  • Experience from  Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Biotechnology company, health care provider or Analyst Consulting company
  • Experience in, and knowledge of, the Israeli Healthcare System, process and stakeholders
  • Technical knowledge required to be able to quickly understand and adapt complex economic simulation models
  • Solid experience from liaising and interacting with Payers, Healthcare professionals (i.e. clinical KOLs), Hospital Administrators and Government officials at all levels in regard to funding, reimbursement and market access
  • English full working proficiency
  • Strong communication and presentation skill
