Job Purpose (Mission)

Renal Care Solutions is a new and evolving business area for MITG and Medtronic. The successful candidate will join an emerging Renal Care Solutions Organisation which is formed from Legacy Bellco and Medtronic Renal Access teams joining together.  They will work in a matrix management structure, locally in Italy as part of a Renal Care Sales commercial team and at European level will be part of the dedicated renal access specialist team.

Our initial team focus is to reduce dialysis access complications, by partnering with clinicians, and using the Medtronic portfolio of solutions, to enable more effective dialysis treatment for End Stage Renal Disease patients.

We aim to introduce new technologies and techniques and provide value through clinical expertise in the areas of renal access and End Stage Renal Disease, ultimately, offering better, more affordable solutions that are accessible to more End Stage Renal Disease patients.

Relevant Activities

He/she will cooperate and coordinate activities with internal and customer stakeholders in the Renal Care Solutions division to ensure personal and dialysis access business success;

Customer Management

•Working with the healthcare providers, in close relationship with the Country sales organisation and clinical stakeholders. The goal is to define with the customer opportunities for improvement in the renal care patient pathway specifically vascular access for dialysis

Delivering clinical value and expertise to ensure awareness of latest trends, published clinical research, and best practice sharing within and outside your customers hospitals

Business Development

• Create and execute in close relationship with the Country sales organisation and the Management Team a sales strategy for the region, including customer education, congress and marketing plans.

Key additional development areas are around negotiating economically advantageous contracts with both clinical and commercial stakeholders, defining together with RCS Regional Sales Manager and local sales force tender/bid offering, managing together with RCS Regional Sales Manager sales forecasting process and the driving the focus of the RCS Sales Force to achieve the Renal Access sales goals set for the area.

 

Education, Support & Training

• Working with health care providers and societies to create and execute learning and development programs for their clinical teams using a variety of options such as delivery of training workshops, implementing proctorships or coordinating external events such as masterclasses or symposia.

Tenders/Bids Management

• Working with RCS Regional Sales Manager, the local Sales Force and local Tender department acts as the reference business person for the Renal Access tender/bid preparation.

Country Renal Care Sales Team (Legacy Bellco), Renal Care Solutions Italy Management Team, European Dialysis Access Sales and Marketing Team, Adjacent Medtronic divisions, Patient Monitoring and Recovery, Peripheral Vascular, Customer Care and Shared Services


Experience

Preferably, Healthcare related (medical or scientific) degree or its equivalent;

Minimum of 5 years of field and/or marketing experience in medical device companies

Proven ability to learn quickly and develop new skills in a fast changing environment

Clinical selling experience and end user device/implant training in similar healthcare setting, dialysis,  endovascular environment or related medical device industry

Demonstrated ability of working together with sales force into complex decision making groups, understanding different customer situations and bringing different stakeholders together to influence decisions

Previous demonstrated sales performance of growth and new customer acquisition in clinical sales environment in the vascular access, endovascular, dialysis or related medical device industry is a plus

Product launch, territory planning and customer segmentation

Forecasting experience is a plus

Previous Experience as business reference for tenders/bids preparation is a plus

Used to work independently with a high level of time management skills

Education & Special Attainments

Fluent local languages for countries and good level of English are mandatory requirements for this role

A professional education or relevant degree required. Solid medical background is a strong plus

A full clean driving licence

Excellent IT skills, including all Microsoft packages and proficiency in using modern multi-media tools, sales systems and daily usage of CRM systems

Willingness to travel within the country and internationally including overnight stays as required by the role
