Work with and support the RTG Group IP Team on several impactful projects with visibility across the Medtronic RTG Group and beyond.  Project management as well as administrative support functions are requested. 

A Day in the Life


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides administrative and other organizational-related support functions for the IP legal function.

  • Prepares legal documents from a variety of sources including drafts and memos as well as guidance documents.

  • Performs legal research to assist the legal team to prepare accurate and timely reports, legal advice, case files, and other documents.

  • Organizes and oversees legal files and materials so that they are easily accessed and retrieved without compromising the confidentiality or privacy of the information they contain.

  • Provides administrative assistance to lawyers and other legal professionals as required, including scheduling, communications, travel, budgets and related responsibilities.

  • Provide project management assistance for departmental activities.

  • Support VP on all matters related to the management of the RTG Group IP department including finance and outside counsel billing matters. 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 4 years IP legal support experience
Nice to Have
  • Project management experience;
  • Experience and skills working with IT systems such as electronic billing, file management, and IP docketing systems;
  • IP legal support experience in a medium to a large sized law firm or a corporation;
  • Ability to clearly communicate with senior management within an organization;
  • Legal research skills using Innography, Derwent, and such commercially available search tools;
  • Superior skills using Excel and Power Point applications.
