  • To achieve the sales revenue & market share targets by managing promotion, selling and servicing Medtronic APV products
  • To assist in the development of building the competence of the Technical Sales Representatives (TSR) and Clinical Specialists (CS) in product knowledge and selling skills to penetrate the market, and exceed AOP year on year.
  • To ensure that the company’s agreed quality standards are maintained with regard to its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact.


A Day in the Life


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage staff including selection, direction setting, feedback and coaching, performance management, rewards and recognition and development planning.
  • Manage distributor by have regular discussion and review monthly base on the guidelines and provide report to Business director.
  • Expand the customer base and sales by establishing regular contact with key specialists, technical staff and administration personnel
  • Develop and implement sales and call plans for specified territory.
  • Field work/coaching of TSR and CS (minimum 1 day per month per person)
  • Ensure customer sales cycle is complete (including obtaining PO and handling AR etc)
  • Hold regular performance discussions and complete the half year and annual performance reviews with direct reports
  • Chair regular motivational sales meeting including Agenda and Report preparation. Issues to be covered: Receive Weekly Reports, Receive Weekly Plans, Market feedback, Strategy progress, Territory cover, Major events
  • Provide meaningful reports, including a written monthly report, to the Business Director
  • Gather market intelligence as an audit on hospital usage, competitor products and pricing, also continual updates on general competitive activities to pass on to Divisional staff.
  • Identify and develop KOL relationships & programs to foster this
  • Complete surveys which provide assessment of customer satisfaction of Key markets and accounts.
  • Monitor and control of local inventory issues including consignment, turnover, and shelf life obsolescence.
  • Support clinical study activities in conjunction with the Clinical Co-coordinator.
  • Provide technical back up at implants as required.
  • Encourage use of Standard Operating Procedures to benefit customer and organization.
  • Demonstrate and implement Medtronic's Customer Focus Quality guidelines.
  • Be a role model in actively promoting Medtronic’s business code of conduct and core behaviors
  • Work within and actively promote Medtronic’s core mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.


Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant sales and leadership experience


Additional Requirements

  • Bachelor qualifications including science, business management etc. is required
  • Proven years of solid Sales/Marketing management experience ideally from within the Medical Devices/Instrumentation field
  • Proven people management experience preferably with establishing and motivating a sales team
  • Demonstrable track record developing Business Plans, goal setting and team building, people management
  • Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
