A Day in the Life


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Promotes and sells Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals.
  • Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services.
  • Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services.
  • Conducts market research including customers and competitors activities.
  • Implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed.
  • Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing


Self-Development:

  • Understand technologies, products, procedures, competitors and their products and outcomes expected to advise and support our customers
  • Ensure ongoing personal training on all product lines while leveraging regional resources for tools as well as the local Technical, Clinical, Marketing and Market Development teams Delivering on commitments and creating opportunities for future growth:
  • Territory – Responsible of territory with span of 5-10 responsible hospital accounts under each territory
  • Grow sales of Coronary, CRHF, APV, and SH products in assigned accounts through stakeholder engagement, solution orientation, and portfolio offerings
  • Responsible for development of long-term relationships with all stakeholders including hospital administrator, operators and allied healthcare professionals servicing the cardiovascular space
  • Organize and cover territory on a regular and consistent basis. Establish and apply detailed knowledge base of account structure, dynamics, and objectives
  • Be involved in creating solutions and positioning Medtronic as a partner of choice in the assigned territory
  • Identify opportunities for therapeutic expansion and involve regional resources to go deeper in appropriate accounts through creating physician interest and leveraging training and education opportunities


Managing Territory:

  • Manage logistics and supply chain to ensure a steady cadence of products are on hand and properly billed and replaced, including management of near expiry products.
  • Collect local data and territory analytics to forecast inventory requirement, further our knowledge base and solution offerings
  • Generate sales report for analysis
  • Ensure involvement in the Inventory management and sales cycle

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and working knowledge of company products and services


Additional Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree is required. Tertiary qualifications in Biology, Physiology, Engineering, Perfusion, Nursing, Medical Sciences or Biomedical engineering field, Pharmacy is preferred
  • Be able to travel 30-50% of the time and cover multiple cities in the assigned territory
  • Proven years sales experience in a local territory dynamic healthcare environment
  • Sales experience with strong track record in a hospital environment within cardiovascular community is highly preferred. Priorities: (1) Local hospital/account, knowledge, (2) Cardiovascular physicians (3) Cathlab/OR staff
  • Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.

  • Bilingual in Bahasa Indonesia and English (basic level of proficiency)
