A Day in the Life

The Senior Business Analyst CRHF EMEA supports senior leadership in SHQ with analysis of market and financial data to understand market performance, business opportunities and threats, as well as meaningful trends in support of EMEA commercial strategic objectives. The person in this role plays a key role in regards the overall operating mechanism EMEA wide, strategic planning, business reviews and forecasting, by providing specific analysis but also by driving standards on formats, data packages & analysis as input to the country/regional CRHF organizations. All of the above takes place in close cooperation with CVG Commercial Excellence to ensure effective and efficient use of resources.

Job scope and responsibilities

  • Researches, analyzes and identifies key data driven insights and clearly articulates critical findings in the form of actionable recommendations for the business leadership.
  • In cooperation with the CVG Commercial Excellence team, performs data mining, trend/predictive analysis and statistical analysis leading to decision support capabilities.
  • Learns from various data sources, both internal and external, as well as analytical tools on key business subjects including:
    • Market and market players
    • Specifics of the business
    • Resource utilization
    • Commercial channel analysis
    • Competitive Intelligence
    • Macro-economic environment
    • Financials
  • Responsible to prepare for following deliverables, working with all relevant parties such as finance, business managers, marketing etc.:
    • Annual strategic & annual operating plans
    • Business reviews with the Global Business Unit
    • Business reviews with the EMEA countries – working with CVG Commercial Excellence to optimize the use of standard reporting tools and review mechanisms
    • Market Model reviews
    • New business model analysis and recommendations
    • Is the primary point of contact for CVG Commercial Excellence and CRHF country/regional contacts in the context of streamlining reporting and business analytics needs across the EMEA region.
    • Analyzes and assesses new potential business models.

Education & Experience:
  • University Degree in relevant field of study (MBA is an asset)
  • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, reporting or analytics and related field.
  • Solid knowledge of the medical device industry
  • Prior experience in collaborating and operating in a matrix structure with different countries / cultures
  • Having worked in an international company/environment
Competencies & Skills:
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Logical and out of the box thinking
  • Extensive practical knowledge in identifying and utilizing data / information for use in reports, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
  • Successful experience in creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • IT literacy in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of SAP, SQL, Tableau PowerBI is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated project management and process mapping skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them.
  • Proactive and service oriented
  • Fluency in English. Any other European language is an advantage
  • A positive person that brings passion, energy and excellence in execution to his/her work
Practical requirements:

Ability to travel internationally <25% of the time
Work rate: 100%
Based in EMEA (preferred in Switzerland)
