An experienced Corporate Communications professional to lead our proactive and reactive projects in Turkey, West Asia and Levant region. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate, consumer and product communications, crisis management, working with senior executives and will be able to balance handling a combination of breaking news and real time requests with managing strategic corporate projects and product announcements. The ability to combine strategy and flawless execution, ruthlessly prioritize and work on a number of projects at once will be essential.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Leads strategy development and produces content aimed at external and internal audiences that supports greater business impact.
Creates strategic external relations plans to build reputation, thought leadership, and advocacy to drive business impact and results for Medtronic.
Proactively shapes the company's identity through traditional and new media channels – paid, earned, shared, and owned.
Advances the company narrative to media and other external audiences as defined, which may involve the strategic conceptualization and execution of creative (PR) campaigns.
Helps lead Communications strategy and response development through issues or crisis to protect the company's reputation.
Oversees and executes the writing, editing and approval of event scripts, speeches, key documents and reports, promotional materials, press releases, interviews, FAQs and other external communications vehicles as defined.
Supports senior leadership in communicating to external audiences.

Turns the department strategy into a commercial reality by developing, communicating and implementing business plans to achieve business results.
Receives assignments in objective oriented terms; has latitude to reinterpret objectives.
Organizational Impact: Initiates programs or projects based on identified business and / or tactical needs.
Decisions impact projects or operations, affect the deadlines, resources, and funds, and the achievement of organizational objectives.
Innovation and Complexity: Develops new objectives, new operating policies, products, processes and standards in support of the job function strategy.
Problems and issues faced are complex, difficult and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem.
Communication and Influence: Communicates with internal and external customers and vendors concerning ongoing operations, programs or processes.
Influences across functions and businesses while balancing divergent objectives to gain cooperation of other parties.
May interact on issues that have externally divergent objectives.
Leadership and Talent Management: Manages at least one (department, function, geography typically comprised of other People or Program managers and / or supervisors and experienced professionals.
Recommends strategies, goals and plans for a group.
Required Knowledge and Experience: 

Requires broad management knowledge to lead project teams in one department.
Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the job function.
Requires a University Degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
Languages: Turkish and English are a must
