In this role, you will provide highly responsive and accessible assessment, solution-focused consultation and referral services to employees and their household members.  Consult with human resources/employee relations, managers and other stakeholders regarding employees with job performance or personal issues and/or at-risk situations. As a member of the Medtronic Employee Assistance Program (MEAP) Center of Expertise, consult with the organization to enhance individual and organizational productivity, teamwork, and psychologically healthy workplaces.

A Day in the Life
Provide assessment, consultation, referrals, and follow up to employees and their immediate family members on work, family, personal and life events
Provide crisis counseling to employees and immediate family members
Help coordinate access to counselors for employees and family members
Collaborate with EAP vendor(s) to ensure high quality delivery of EAP services and promotion of program
Consult with managers and human resource/employee relations professionals regarding challenging employee situations and human relations issues impacting productivity and team effectiveness
Develop, coordinate and deliver employee and manager trainings, and EAP orientations 
Provide direct delivery, and coordination of critical incident management services 
Follow established professional standards for program delivery


Must Haves
Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years experience providing direct services (assessment, referral, counseling, delivering training, providing critical incident services) OR advanced degree and 2+ years of related experience
Professional Licensure (e.g. Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in state of practice

Nice to Have
Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP)
Fluency in verbal and written English and Spanish
Experience in international EAP service delivery and vendor relations
Experience in a global, matrixed corporate culture
Training in conducting threat assessments
Knowledge and application of adult assessment inventories
