We are looking for a Senior Employee Relations Partner to cover an exciting new role for Nordics!
The Senior Employee Relations Partner is responsible for partnering with country leaders and HRBPs in building strong relationships between employees, leaders and employee representatives/Unions, where applicable, at a country level. The role takes a proactive, approach to employee and labor relations by identifying higher-level employee trends, recommending solutions that address root cause of issue, and partnering with leadership on execution. The role acts a key partner to leaders in driving (1) employee relations strategies, while maintaining a neutral position and (2) labor relations strategies and administration. A key component of the role includes projects to continue building the employee and labor relations function and developing processes, as well as building manager skill sets.

The role provides strong partnership on performance management, disciplinary processes, restructuring activity, reduction in force, legal issues, investigations, conflict management, policy interpretation, labor relations etc. Work involves assessing and resolving complex employee and labor relations matters ensuring consistency across client groups and alignment with Medtronic practices and legal framework. The role helps to ensure an equitable and consistent approach to Medtronic's policies and procedures, thus promoting a positive culture within the business, while minimizing risks. The partner provides a single point of contact for employee and labor relations issues to ensure clear communication and efficiency in resolving matters. The role requires skill, tact, influence, judgment, and/or negotiation skills to accomplish objectives.

This role works closely with the in-house legal team, with the wider Human Resources community and with clients to deliver a fair, consistent ELR service, both minimizing risk to the business and aligning work to meet business needs. You will also be leveraging change management principles to accomplishing key objectives and to be able to manage projects.

There will be about 30% traveling in the Nordics depending on where you live.

Are you the profile we are looking for to join our exciting company and HR team?
We are looking for someone who can understand the complexity of a Matrix organisation and who can drive results. You will be educated to at least a bachelor’s degree level, in a relevant field and five years or more experience from a similar role. You should have strong interpersonal and communication skills that help to build good working relationships. It is essential that you speak a Scandinavian language as well as English. We would like you to have experience in working with employee and labor relations in the Nordics and demonstrated knowledge of local employment law. It would also be a plus to have experience in project management. You will be a great team player as well as a great negotiator and listener. We would like you to have a coaching mindset and be able to easily find solutions to problems.
