Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) team members are seasoned professionals with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare value chain, as well as breadth of experience across multiple disciplines. They partner with hospital management teams and payers to drive complex transformational change, implement innovative growth strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways and optimize operations.

As a Consultant, you will work closely with the consulting and business development teams in the country on all consultancy delivery activities within clients. Your focus will be on clinical pathway optimization and patient journey optimization, with a knowledge of population health, data analytics, patient outcomes, and clinical quality needed to drive improvement. You manage and work collaboratively with teams to drive full end-to-end transformation programs, operational excellence and pathway optimization projects.

Furthermore, you will support the business development efforts in the country, with an aim to help increase our footprint on the signature and activation of new deals in the country. This will entail ensuring projects are scoped, priced and proposals developed to the needs of key clients and within the realm of the Medtronic IHS service offering

You are responsible for quality of delivery for those programs/engagements and act as the first line Medtronic liaison for your customers. You interface with hospital staff (clinical and non-clinical) and occasionally with C-suite and senior management and understand their most pressing problems. As such you are also working as a connection between IHS consulting, business development colleagues and the clients you serve.

As part of your role, you contribute to the further development of our consulting service offerings and play an important role in the professional development of the consultants in your delivery team(s) via on-the-job coaching and mentoring.

For this role, you will be expected to be located in Kazakhstan; a part of TWAL (Turkey, West Asia, Levant) Region and As part of the CEMA (Central Europe & Middle East) Teams.

A Day in the Life
You will;
• Identify and scope client needs and solutions based on the client requirements.
• Build a pipeline and manage client pipeline from discussion initiation to proposal and contract development.
• Map, understand and assess clinical pathways and patient journeys within a hospital or health system settings.
• Track, measure and interpret outcomes pre, during and post care.
• Understand and outline population health trends and impacts on the patient journey and outcomes.
• Work with accounts to drive complex transformational change, implement innovative growth strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways and optimize operations.
• Support in influencing key stakeholders by developing well-articulated situation analysis and case for change.
• Identify, frame and prioritize initiatives to capture value, and establish road-map and develop actionable plans / project portfolios for immediate improvement and costs savings.
• Manage full end-to-end projects / programs and perform day to day coaching and support activities to the service delivery team.
• Periodically prepare portfolio reviews of the partnership program with steering com (IHS + customer) to track status, progress and measure economic value and customer satisfaction).
• Identify and build new services and solutions that enable clients to improve outcomes and reduce costs of delivering care.
• Drive data analytics around clinical, operational and financial outcomes.

Must Haves
• Degree in Medicine, Business, Engineering or clinical areas
• 5-7+ years as consultant from a top tier consulting firm or high end healthcare firms in a consulting and business development function
• Extensive experience in the healthcare environment and in dealing with hospitals’ clinical leaders, staff, and C-suite/Sr. Management/stakeholders
• Proven experience in epidemiology, biostatistics, or similar fields and experience in understanding and mapping a patient journey
• Demonstrable program management skills: planning & coordinating, communicating & influencing, relationship building, achieving milestones, resolving issues and managing risks
• Excellent business development and generic consulting skills especially problem solving skils
• Excellent knowledge of public health/ population health
• Strong experience in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
• Strong ability to develop and foster business relationships with continuously changing stakeholders and confidence to build trust with client stakeholders
• Thorough knowledge of the decision-making process within hospitals (physicians, C-suite, economic buyers)
• Demonstrated ability to operate from idea generation, proposal and strategy development through detailed implementation and results delivery
• Excellent in English, Russian and Kazak
• Willingness to travel within region and within the country (up to 50%)

Nice to Haves

• Experience in lean and six sigma with certification
• Master’s degree in relevant functional area (ie., Public Health, Medicine)
